Silox Group, through its subsidiary Silox India, has officially broken ground on a new greenfield manufacturing facility at Payal Industrial Parks (PIP) in Pakajan, Gujarat. The state-of-the-art facility is slated to be operational by 2027.
In keeping with local traditions, a puja ceremony was held on June 18, attended by Belgian Ambassador to India, H.E. Didier Vanderhasselt, Mr. Jean-Christophe Bogaert, Chairman of Silox’s Board, and Mr. Prakash Raman, Managing Director of Silox India, along with other members of the global board and local management team.
The new facility will prioritize sustainability, running on 90% green energy and utilizing 40% less water compared to current industry standards. It represents Silox’s commitment to integrating eco-friendly practices into its global manufacturing operations.
Silox India specializes in inorganic chemistry, producing a range of chemicals used across various sectors such as automotive, textiles, pulp and paper, coatings, and new energy vehicles. As a global leader in sodium and zinc formaldehyde sulphoxylates, Silox India operates three manufacturing sites in India, exporting more than 40% of its production capacity worldwide.
